I recently introduced you to Aldair from Colombia. I have been writing to him since May 2011 when I was linked up with him through Compassion. He has wrote many long letters. He is a very bright young man! I am glad I was able to know him for 9 months. Unfortunately, his family has moved out of the Compassion project area in Arjona Bolivar. The regional diet consists of maize, fish, beef, plantains, cassava, bananas and rice. Common health problems in this area include skin infections, influenza, pneumonia and asthma. Most adults in Arjona Bolivar are unemployed but some work as street vendors and earn the equivalent of $172 per month. The community needs basic utilities service, proper housing, employment opportunities, pre- and primary schools and the Gospel.
