Calling a Minga

This is still about the Me to We book and concept. The big project that I am planning would be referred to as a "Minga" in Ecuador. I found this part of the book extremely interesting. In Ecuador, a Minga is a get together of the whole community to get something accomplished. In Ecuador,if you are at work, working in your garden, cleaning the house, or whatever you are doing, you will stop what it is you are doing if someone calls a "minga".
The purpose is that everyone stops to help someone else in the community TOGETHER. Maybe it is repairing the neighbor's house that was destroyed in a storm, or whatever it may be... Read this part of the book, as you will be inspired. The section ends like this:
"... success is never a solitary pursuit... It operates on an 'all for one,one for all' basis. Caring, not competition, is the order of the day. We is as important as Me."
