Katerine's Easter Package

A post from Lisa:

I received the report today on Katerine in Guatemala's Easter package. She looks adorable. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I only got one picture. That has never happened before. But she looks happy and sweet. I have just sent in the money for her to have a birthday party May 17th! She turns 7 years old.

Here is the letter someone wrote for her (not sure who):

Dear Sponsor Lisa,
I greet you thanking you for the package you sent to Katerine. She thanks you for the crayons, the book, the ponytails, the sweater, the pictures, and for the rope (it was a jump rope), the balls and the rabbits. She loves them because the rabbit is her favorite animal and she thanks you for the duck and may God bless you along with your sponsored child and niece and that everything is fine with your dogs surgery abd she is thankful and she says so long to you wishing you do it well.

Easter Package for Mario in Chile

Post from Barbara:

You may remember Mario from previous posts when he, his mother and sister were forced to leave their home due to domestic violence. They are now living in rental accommodation but since they were left with few possessions instead of sending frivolous Easter gifts this year I sent a mixture of school and hygiene supplies which the family said they needed. This is what Mario wrote.

"Dear Sponsor Barbara:

I am happy to greet you and hope that you are fine and healthy and blessed in your work. Madrina, we were really scared about the earthquake; today, March 11th, 2010 we still can feel aftershocks in Chile. Well, I am already attending school and hoping this year is better.

Madrina, thank you very much for the Easter card, photos and gifts [a mixture of hygiene products and school supplies, a sewing kit and Easter candle for his mother; plus a plastic dinosaur in his favourite colour - green]. Thanks for everything. I send you a kiss and a hug. Mario and family."

This was the first letter that I have received since the tragic earthquake so it was good to hear that, apart from the trauma they went through he and his family appear to be well.

Cheers

Barbara

John 3:16~ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Happy Easter! May God watch you and keep you in his sight! We are grateful for our MAC friends, and all that you all have done to make other people's lives better!

Barbara's Pearl in the Philippines with her Easter Package

A post by Barbara:
Here is the thank you letter for her St. Valentines Day and Easter DP from seven year old Pearl; who has written her own letters since she was five years old.

"Dear Barbara

Hi there! I hope your doing fine and always happy. I and my family are all okay. I am happy that you sent another package to me. I have received toys, stationary set, underwear, clothing, note book, stickers, locket and bag. I really love the items you gave me.

Thank you. Take care always. Love

Pearl Daphne.

In an earlier letter she knighted our Steve as follows.

Dear Barbara

Hi! Mabuhay! I hope your doing fine. With regards to our Christmas celebration we attend midnight mass and after the mass we eat together with our 'medya noche'. [I have attended those of my Filipina friend where food is placed on the table non-stop and guests stay as long as there is food available. B.R.]

Yes, I already meet SIR Steve last January 8th, 2010 at the main office of Unang Lingap Kapwa Philippines. I am excited and happy.

That's all for now. Thank you so much for all of your help and for your letter. God Bless. Love Pearl Daphne.

It is always a pleasure to see her wearing all the clothes and costume jewellery that I send her. Also, to see that the windows in her drawings are now on the house and not attached to the side!!'

Cheers

Barbara
