Rosalie's Fundraiser Follow Up

These picures are from the fundraiser we did for Tamara's child Rosalie in the Philippines. She was in desperate need of house repairs. Their home had many holes that needed patching. Every time it would rain, they would have to put pails under all of the leaks in the roof. Now, they can sleep peacefully and stay safe and sound in their newly repaired home!! It is wild how so little can make a big difference. Some of you donated $10, some donated $20, etc. Look at what a big difference your donation made!!! Thank you to all that helped this family!

My Final Plea for Rosalie

This is my final plea for Rosalie's fundriaser, I promise. She only needs $97 more! The other news to note is that if this can fund by tomorrow, she will get the funds in April (instead of having to wait until May). One of the items they desperately need is a toilet- Who can't respect that?! A toilet is not a luxury but a necessity!- The other options are unsanitary and lead to the spread of diseases. $97 when broken down between several people is really not that much. On April 9th, 2009, Make a Change launched their first ever group fundraiser! We are less than 2 weeks away from our 1 year anniversary!! We have helped 28 families so far. If we can help just 2 of these current fundraisers and get them funded by then, we will be able to put down 30 families for our accomplishments in one year! These are the aprons offered in this limited time offer fundraiser. The are hand made, and fit any child. They even fit adults, but as you can see above, they fit to about the waist. They don't fit people with a large waist because the apron would not tie. A very important question was asked as to whether these could be shipped to a sponsor child. Absolutely! You can either tell me the child's name & ID & Country, and I will put it away for the Christmas packages, or I can ship it to you to send to your child.

Remember, this apron is absolutely free to you (I am buying them out of my own pocket). All you have to do is support our fundraisers. A $15 donation gets you an apron! (Don't forget to e-mail me your address)- I have 5 aprons left!

Hi, everyone! This is me, Heather in avatar form! I have been very busy these past few days with setting up sale outlets and partners for the MIC program. It is a lot of work, but it will bring great rewards, I am sure (patience is a virtue, or so they say).

I, also, wanted to say that I am opening up the fundraisers again. I can add 5 more fundriasers to the end of our list. Special needs break downs would need to be ordered, so it is imperative to go ahead and get them ordered now. It can take as much as 3 months to get a response. The max for these fundraisers is $300. If you would like to have a fundraiser on that list of 5, you need to donate at least $75 to the current fundraisers. After you have donated, e-mail me your child's full name & ID, and I will get the special needs request submitted.

Welcome to Fundraiser #23!

Meet Rosalie! This fundraiser was originally sent up to be for Jeffrey in the Philippines. However, you may remember that Tamara sponsors a lot of the children that are graduating from the sponsorship program. Jeffrey was one of those children. He was scheduled to graduate the sponsorship program last month. Since Tamara wanted to maintain contact with the family and continue to help them, she decided to sponsor his little sister Rosalie!

This fundraiser is for home repairs that will benefit the entire family! They only need a little over $300 to fund this project, since $60 has already been raised. If you would like to help Rosalie, Jeffrey, and their family, please make your donation here

Fundraiser Update

We currently have 3 fundraisers going. One is VERY close to completion, and two need approximately $250 a piece. In order to get these funded, I am offering another two part raffle (like the one I did today). For this raffle, you may donate to any of the 3 fundraisers. Donations must be received by Friday at 3PM CST to qualify for the raffle. $1 = 1 raffle ticket.

Being raffled off is a digital camera for your sponsor child (it must be for a country with an upcoming shipment). This one is for the boys- I have 2 of the Batman cameras shown in the upper left hand corner. My girls will be drawing the names of two different people on Friday at 3:05PM CST. The second and last thing I want to address is there are a few people with fundraisers coming up that have not donated their 25% yet. I want to remind everyone that if your turn for a fundraiser comes up, and you have not yet donated your 25%, your fundraiser will be bumped. I just can not remind and prod everyone enough because when the time comes for your fundraiser, I know you will be disappointed that you were bumped. I was sending e-mails to remind people, but really everyone should know how much they have contributed & be participating if they want their fundraiser to take place. I understand financial hardship, I can promise you that. Some times we just do not have money to give. However, most of you have been on the list waiting for your fundraiser to start for months now. All you have to do is donate $2 here and $5 there. Little by little it adds up. If your fundraiser gets bumped 5 times, I will remove you from the list. This gives the people that are actively participating a bump forward on the list. If you decide later to do a fundraiser, you can request another one. However, you will have to donate the 25% first.

Angelito and his family are very happy and feeling blessed when they received the special gift. Angelito was excited to visit the mall together with his mother. He was satisfied with the food they ate. His experience during marketing was unforgettable and he wished that his sponsor is also with him that time and see how happy he was. The gift will benefit the child and family:
Through the gift,he was able to buy a mattress for his family. They now have a comfortable sleep area. The mother of Angelito is very excited to use the new portable gas stove. My mother and I went to the mall and bought something that we needed in our daily life like mattress,that my family and I can sleep comfortable. The plastic cabinet were I can use to keep my clothes. What were the child's/family's comments when gifts were delivered?
Jhonalyn was so happy when she learned that she will be having a bed. She said " i will share it with my sibling because I also want her to enjoy the comfort of sleeping , it is very timely because some of our wooden bed and mat were damaged due to the flood caused by the recent typhoon"Ondoy"

How will the gifts benefit the child and/family?
The double-sized bed will be shared by Jhonalyn and her younger sibling, Joy Ann who is her closet sibling. Jhonalyn and Joy Ann will now share the comfort of sleeping every night. The groceries will be shared by the entire family in one week time.

Additional Comments:
Jhonalyn decided to buy a double bed instead of a single bed with beddings, because she really wanted to share the comfort of sleeping with her younger sibling, Joy Ann. Since the amount is enough for a double bed, she opted to purchase it with so much joy because she can share the blessing with one member of her family

Ugandan Christmas Package has been SHIPPED!

The Ugandan Christian Upliftment Primary School in Kampala, will soon be receiving a package!!! With all of the items I previously posted about (books, calendars, balloons, & Christmas cards), and then, all of the items shown above, the package is GiGaNtIc! It weighed in at 9 pounds and 4 ounces! Everything was firmly packed into a medium priority flat rate box, and there was not a space left for anything else!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for helping Jonathan!!! This big package proves the help he has gotten in the past month. Stay tuned for pictures from Hellen when the package arrives! Don't expect the pictures until December some time, but I do hope they get these items in time for Christmas! Based on USPS, the package should arrive in 6 to 10 business days.
