We have our own domain!

We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary in just a few weeks! We have done some pretty big things, in my opinion. The plan is that by this time next month (as we celebrate our 1 year anniversary), we will be able to celebrate:

1. Having helped 30 families in one year!

2. Having raised over $15,000 in one year!

3. Having sent direct packages to 73 children as a group (with more to come at Christmas)!

4. Having started a group IGP for over 30 women in Uganda!

We have done so much is such a little bit of time. It just goes to show how much can get done when people come together to do it! If you have participated in this, then, you already know how good it can feel to help someone else. In fact, it is disputed that the giver may get more in return (as far as emotional well-being, etc) that the receiver! The famous philosopher Confucius who lived from 551-479 BC was noted as saying:

“He who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.”

Pretty awesome to think that while the world has changed much since Confucius was alive, some things stay the same. There are still people who work to help others without thinking of something for themselves in return!

Since our group is growing and not slowing down, I paid for a premium web-site about 4 months ago (for $100). Now, I felt it was time we had our own domain without the "webs" attached to it. I paid an additional $20 yesterday to get us that. This only applies to the Make a Change MAC site which means that the Miracles in Caring MIC group will, also, need to use the same site (unless someone wants to put up $120 a year to have the one be able to do what the MAC site can do). I think we can share our MAC web-store with the MIC group, don't you? The MIC web store only holds 5 items at a time. The MAC store allows 30!

Now, here is the big reveal! Our new web-site is: www.makeachangemac.org Make sure to set it in your favorites and spread the word!

I echo Lisa's sentiments because without your entreprenurial spirit none of the fund-raisers and MIC sales would have happened. Keep up the good work!!
